Quality · Design
For quality staff and design/manufacturing engineering staff. Usage involving drawings requires an admin to turn on drawing collection first.
Finding tolerances in drawings and their location Admin setup required
- Who Quality inspectors · machining staff · design engineers
- When You need to check inspection criteria or machining tolerances
- Ask like this "What's the bore tolerance of the GT-2871-104 housing?", "Where in the drawing is the 120±0.1 dimension?"
- You get Values with page · zone location, like "Ø62 H7 — Drawing DWG-GT-2871-104, Sheet C, Zone B3". Clicking the drawing card in the grounding opens the drawing page in the right panel and highlights that spot. Use Open in viewer (new tab) in the panel header for a larger view.
- Note Only DXF and vector PDF are read. DWG is not accepted — export to DXF or PDF before uploading. Fit tolerances are distinguished between H7 (hole) and h7 (shaft).
Asking for upper/lower limits of a fit tolerance Admin setup required
- Who Quality inspectors · machining staff
- When The drawing has only a symbol like "Ø62 H7" with no numeric range
- Ask like this "What are the upper/lower limits for Ø62 H7 on the GT-2871-104 housing bore?"
- You get Lower ~ upper limit with grounding — "Tolerance stated on drawing" if the drawing states it, or an "Formula estimate" derived from ISO fit formulas if only a symbol is given. Any answer using a formula estimate always ends with: "※ The «Formula estimate» upper/lower limits are … Verify pass/fail decisions against your held standard documents (ISO 286 / KS B 0401)."
- Note Do not use formula estimates for pass/fail decisions. Calculation range is limited to IT5–IT8, >3 mm to 500 mm, hole H·JS·G·F / shaft h·js·g·f only — outside this range, no value is produced. → Asking with Drawings
Checking title block / parts list Admin setup required
- Who Materials · assembly staff
- When You need to check material, the latest revision, or part quantities
- Ask like this "What's the material and latest revision of this part?", "What's balloon item 2 and how many are used?"
- You get Material · revision from the title block, and part number · name · quantity from the parts list. Drawing cards carry a revision badge based on PLM (✓ latest · ⚠ outdated · ⏳ change in progress · ? revision unknown).
- Note The exact contents of the drawing are returned as-is. If the badge shows "outdated", the answer is also outdated — ask again with the latest revision number, or use it together with "Revision check" below. → Asking with Drawings
Viewing what changed between two drawing revisions Admin setup required
- Who Design · quality engineers
- When A new revision of a drawing is released and you need to check what changed
- Ask like this Upload both revisions, ask a question that pulls in both revisions, click the drawing card to open the right panel, then click Compare with latest (or Compare with previous revision if you're viewing the latest) — the drawing viewer opens in a new tab.
- You get Both revisions shown side by side or overlaid in the viewer, with changed areas marked. The "What changed" list shows changes to summary · title block · dimensions · parts list · notes; clicking a line jumps to that location.
- Note The button only appears if both revisions are present in the same answer's sources. Scanned pages are not compared. If a comparison result isn't available, only side-by-side viewing of the two revisions works. → Drawing Use Cases
Checking whether work is on an outdated revision after a design change
- Who Manufacturing engineering · quality engineers
- When Right after an Engineering Change Order (ECO) is released
- Ask like this In an installation with digital thread connected, ask in "Ask": "Tell me which jobs this design change blocks and how many days it adds", "Check whether this job's drawing is the latest revision"
- You get Affected part numbers, blocked jobs and added days, and "delay added by this item" on the milestone. If the drawing or manufacturing BOM is on a revision older than the design change, that's flagged separately.
- Note There's no dedicated screen — this is done through Ask. PLM · MES connectors must be connected. Numbers come from formulas and the AI only explains them — confirm by asking about assumptions, missing inputs, and the as-of time of the data. The per-process work readiness (Go/No-Go) and part number revision lookup tools are on from the start (2026.10 re-release (2026-10-20)). → Digital Thread · MCP Tool Map
Viewing schedule impact of a nonconformance
- Who Quality staff
- When A nonconformance report (NCR) is opened
- Ask like this In an installation with digital thread connected, ask in "Ask": "Tell me which milestones this nonconformance pushes back and what the recovery options are"
- You get Blocked jobs · processes and the milestone impact.
- Note A QM connector must be connected. If the connector's data is outdated, recovery numbers are not produced — the reason is explained instead.
Correcting AI anomaly judgments to improve accuracy
- Who Quality · process staff
- When The AI repeatedly raises false alarms
- Ask like this In Suggest › the anomaly to review under Sudden Changes, click Ignore and pick a reason (mark as false alarm). On AI suggestion cards, leave Accept · Reject, and after accepting, leave Effective · Not effective · Not yet known.
- You get The AI recalculates per-equipment accuracy from these marks and adjusts per-equipment thresholds after shadow validation. If it gets worse, it's rolled back automatically. Adjustment progress and reasoning can be seen under Accuracy Tuning in the admin console. The last 30 days' performance can be received as a report via the automation template "AI Accuracy Check".
- Note If fewer than 10 marks exist, it's treated as "insufficient sample" instead of a number — a percentage from a handful of marks is close to chance. → AI Findings and Accuracy
