Creating Dashboards in PlantPulse Dashboard
The time series engine comes with PlantPulse Dashboard built in (port 3000). A dedicated data
source plugin and five pre-configured dashboards are already deployed, so in most cases
there is nothing new to connect, only modifications to make.
pd status timeseries # engine(tse) → dashboard(grafana) 순으로 뜬다
curl -k https://<호스트>:3000/ # PlantPulse Dashboard 로그인 화면
pd The service name is timeseries and it runs only on the MASTER node (as of 2026-09-05).
What's Included
| What | Value |
|---|---|
| Data source plugin | plantpulse-timeseries-datasource — 「PlantPulse Timeseries」 |
| Custom panel | kopens-status-timeline-panel — renders boolean (0/1) time series as color bands |
| Pre-configured dashboards | Five in the PLANTPULSE folder — datalake · edge · messaging · server · statistics |
The pre-configured dashboards are provisioned as files (disableDeletion: true,
allowUiUpdates: false). Changes made in the UI are not saved, so duplicate them before editing.
Creating a New Dashboard
1. Choose the data source
Add a panel and select PlantPulse Timeseries from the data source list.
If it doesn't appear, the plugin hasn't loaded, so check again after pd restart timeseries.
2. Specify the series by tag path
This data source finds series by tag path, not SQL — the same shape as the FROM clause
in TQL.
<채널>.<설비>.<태그>
예: CHANNEL1.PUMP1.TEMP_0001
If you prefer to write the query language directly, use TQL → TQL and JDBC Driver
3. Fill gaps
If you plot at an interval finer than the collection period, empty buckets appear as
broken lines. Fill them using time_bucket_gapfill and locf from the time series functions →
Time Series Functions
4. Use the dedicated panel for status signals
For 0/1 signals such as running/stopped, a timeline is easier to read than a line chart. Select Status Timeline from the panel type.
Connecting to an External Grafana
If you already operate a Grafana instance, you can connect to it. There are two paths.
| Path | How |
|---|---|
| Move the plugin | Copy the bundled data source plugin to the plugin directory of the external Grafana |
| Connect via JDBC | jdbc:ts://<호스트>:7800 — TQL and JDBC Driver |
The data source in the bundled PlantPulse Dashboard points to TSE_URL (default http://tse:7800) —
a name inside the container network, so it is unreachable from outside. In an external
Grafana, you must change it to the actual host address.
If You're Familiar with PromQL
The TSE also includes a Prometheus-compatible adapter. Instead of the dedicated plugin, you can connect using Grafana's Prometheus data source and use PromQL directly → Prometheus Integration
The health of the stack itself (container status, ports) is a separate matter, provided by
the admin console at /metrics → Ports and Service Management
